The Helix Park: Home of the Kelpies

Helix park is roughly 20 minutes away and is located between Falkirk and Grangemouth. It is home to the largest equine sculptures in the world whilst also providing walking, running and cycling routes within its parkland.

Stirling Castle

Stirling Castle is situated in the county of Stirlingshire, which is 25-30 mins from our site. The castle was historically known to guard the lowest crossing point on the river Forth for centuries.

The Falkirk Wheel

The Falkirk Wheel is Scotland’s first and only rotating boat lift, connecting the Forth & Clyde canal and the Union canal together. It is located roughly 25 minutes away from our site.

Wallace Monument

The Wallace Monument is located in Stirlingshire and tells the story of William Wallace. It overlooks the scene of where The Battle of Stirling Bridge took place along with some amazing views of the City of Stirling.

They have loads of things to do, to keep the kids entertained and whilst most of their activities are outside, they do have a craft area within their family friendly tearoom for those wet days offering new ceramic painting, sand art and decopatch; as well as an indoor soft play frame for under 7’s and a play area for pre-schoolers.

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park

Loch Lomond is around 1hr 25 minutes away from our site, it hosts some of Scotland’s most stunning scenery. The are various activities that visitors can take part in from water sports and loch cruises to camping and hill walking.

Edinburgh Castle is located in Scotland’s Capital city, The City of Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is also home to The Royal Mile in the Old Town. Beneath the royal mile is where The Real Mary King’s Close can be found, concealing Edinburgh’s hidden history surrounding the plague.
