Terms and Conditions

Before booking a pitch and/or Anthropod please take the time to read these Terms and Conditions, Privacy, Environmental and GDPR Policies, thank you.

Pets, BBQ, and Fire Pit Policies

  • Pets are not permitted with the Anthropod booking.

  • Pets are permitted with Pitch bookings, they must be on a lead outside the caravan. All dog droppings must be cleaned up.

  • You could be asked to leave with no notice or refund if your pet makes excessive noise and disrupts other guests or are aggressive to guest and other pets.

  • Fire Pits are not permitted on campsite. Scot’s law - due carbon emissions.

  • BBQs are permitted on campsite. They must be small , maximum height 48cm, and used on hardstanding/stone areas only - not on the grass areas or Anthropod decking.

Booking Policy

  • The lead person booking must be aged 18 or above at the time of booking.

  • Maximum stay 2 weeks (non return for 30 days)

  • Minimum stay

    • Pitch - 1 night

    • Anthropod - 1 night (Sept to May)

Pitches

Check in: from 12:30pm
Check out: by 11am

New customers need to contact the campsite if they will be later than 8pm.

Anthropod

Check in: from 3pm
Check out: by 10am

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Each booking requires a 20%, non refundable deposit at time of booking.

  • The remainder of your payment will be taken, 7 days for a pitch and 14 days for an Anthropod, before your check in date.

  • Bookings made less than 7 (pitches) or 14 (Anthropods) days before the check in date will be charged in full.

  • Damage deposit for the Anthopods Is £150, it will not be taken unless damage is done. The amount will be preauthorised on your credit card 7 days before arrival and 14 days after.

  • As part of our booking process you have the option to choose to take “Booking Direct Refund Protection” cover

  • We can do our best to re-schedule your dates up to 7 (pitches) or 14 (Anthropods) days before your check in date if you find you are unable to make it due to situations out of your control. Additional charges may apply depending on the new dates chosen.

Quiet Site Policy

Guests are here to relax

The campsite is in countryside where noise carries easily so campers are requested to avoid excessive noise at all times, being especially quiet between the hours of 22:00 hours and 08:00 hours. (Those who do not comply may be asked to leave the site at the discretion of the Owners.)

Health & Safety - Hot Tub

On booking the Anthropods you must follow the Hot Tub rules. Click the grey buttons to open the rules.

They rules also located by the hot tub and in a folder in the Anthropod.

Quarantine Policy

In the event that we have to temporarily close the glamping and caravanning campsite due to quarantine, we cannot provide a refund.

  • However we will offer you alternative dates.

Damage, Loss, Theft

  • If you or any of your party cause damage to the facilities or the camping site in any way, we reserve the right to collect payment from you to cover the cost of the damage. (Note: Anthropod guests have a preauthorised amount of £150 on their credit card for 7 days after their break in case of damage)

  • Highland Gateway Glamping and Caravanning accept no liability for belongings that are lost or stolen on the campsite, including in and outside the Anthropod and pitches

Additional terms & conditions

  • We do not take tent bookings.

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times on the campsite. Breakage and damage due to non supervision will be charged.

  • The Anthropods are adult only and not suitable for children and out of bounds for them due to Hot tub safety.

  • Due to ground type & condition, guest privacy, restrictions in our campsite licence and fire regulations; all touring vehicles, awning (with or without panels), any type of tent and washing lines must be on the gravel of the hardstanding pitch, as must tables, chairs and dog pens. Sorry there can be no exceptions. They are XL Pitches so lots of space available.

  • Visitors to a Pitch or Anthropod are limited to a maximum of 2 adults on any one day. Please inform the campsite of their visit, maximum stay is 2 hours. No visitors should be on campsite after 8pm

  • The site does not offer seasonal lets, maximum stay 14 nights (non return 30 days if max booked or less nights at the discretion of the owner)

  • No commercial vehicles allowed on site.

  • Additional accommodation vehicles need to book a separate pitch.

  • If you want to book hardstanding pitches for a group (2 pitches or more). Please contact the campsite before booking. The bookings can be cancelled if this is not done.

  • All vehicles using the site must have up to date tax, insurance and MOT certificates.

If you are found to be in breach of any of these terms and conditions on booking or during your stay we reserve the right to either refuse your booking or to ask you and your party to leave, with no refunds given.

Electricity usage.

Please be kind to our Mother Earth and at the same time help keep small private campsites going. The choice is yours to make.

The average household in the UK uses from 8.5 to 10 kWh per day - source .

A 10 kWhs allocation is included in each nightly pitch fee e.g., if 3 nights are booked then the allocation given is 30kWhs.

  • There is a meter at each pitch. On the day of arrival you will be given your start reading in kWhs by email or you can record it yourself, the meter will switch off when this allocation has been used up.

  • Guests can purchase them in 5 kWh blocks of £2/block, if you think you might need more. Please use the contact details and buy these ( before 8:30pm please)
